Teenager hacks into Apple’s servers, steals 90GB of data

An Australian teenager had repeatedly hacked into Apple’s servers, stealing 90GB worth of ‘secure files.’

The Australian sixteen-year-old got access into a central Apple server multiple times over the course of a year. The exact nature of what was downloaded is still unclear.  The individual collected tens of gigabytes of confidential, secure, company files and saved them in a folder named ‘hacky hacky hack’. Apple finally caught him by tracking the serial numbers of the Macs he used. The teenager has pleaded guilty in court to the crime and will be sentenced next month.

Apple followed up by confirming that no personal data from users was accessed by the hacker.
