How to enable Night Shift for Mac

Night shift gradually shifts your display color from blue to an orangeish color after dark, which supposedly helps you sleep a little better by reducing your exposure to blue light. Apple’s rolling out an update to macOS that adds the time-based color-shifting feature to your Mac.

You can toggle Night Shift on and off manually by pulling up the Notification Center.

You can also turn Night Shift on in System Preferences > Displays.
